ColdPoint Real Estate Group (“we”, “us”) operates coldpointrealestategroup.pages.dev. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through the site, and applies to visitors anywhere, though it is written against Canadian federal privacy law, principally the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
We collect personal information in two ways.
Information you give us
When you submit an enquiry form, request a property detail, or download a gated resource, we collect what you type into that form. Depending on the form, that includes:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your company name and your role
- Your phone number, where you provide it
- Details about your property requirement or project: province, city, size, temperature requirements, timeline, budget range, and any message you write
Every field marked optional is genuinely optional. You can submit an enquiry without it.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our host records standard technical information when you load a page: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the pages you view. This is used to keep the site running and to understand which content is useful.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiry. This is the main reason. If you ask about a property or a project, we need your contact details to reply.
- To deliver a resource you requested. Gated downloads are sent to the email address you provide.
- To send you relevant market information, but only if you have consented to that. See the section on commercial email below.
- To improve the site, using aggregate traffic patterns rather than individual behaviour.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Commercial email and CASL
Canada’s anti-spam legislation governs commercial electronic messages. We rely on your express consent, given when you tick the relevant box, or on the implied consent that arises from an existing business relationship, for example, if you have made an enquiry with us.
Every commercial message we send identifies us, gives our contact information, and carries a working unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing takes effect promptly and does not affect our ability to reply to an enquiry you have made.
Service providers we use
Some of your information passes through third-party services in order for the site to work. Each is used only for the purpose described.

These providers may store or process data outside Canada. Where that is the case, the information remains subject to the laws of the country it is held in, and may be accessible to courts and law enforcement there.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are kept for as long as we have an active or reasonably foreseeable business relationship with you, and for a period afterwards where we need to for legal, tax, or professional-obligation reasons. When information is no longer needed for any of those purposes, we delete it.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Give you a copy of it
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Withdraw a consent you previously gave, subject to legal and contractual limits
- Delete information we no longer have a valid reason to keep
Write to us using the details below and we will respond within thirty days. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy concern, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Cookies
The site uses only the cookies required for it to function. If we add analytics or advertising cookies in future, we will update this policy and present a consent choice before those cookies are set.
Security
The site is served entirely over HTTPS, and form submissions are transmitted encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send confidential financial or identity documents through a web form; ask us for a secure alternative.
Children
This is a business-to-business site. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of majority.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
